How to tell the difference between good NAD+ and degraded NAD+
High-quality NAD+ in solution is colourless, like water, but as it degrades, it takes on a yellow colour that darkens as it breaks down (scroll down to see examples).
NAD+ breaks down when it gets too warm or is exposed to air (which is why it should be keep between 2-8 decrees Celsius) but doesnt just become inert… it decomposes into nicotinamide and ADP-ribose, both of which can be harmful. This means that, not only are you not benefitting from NAD+ supplementation if you take degraded NAD+, you can also cause yourself harm!
