Which NAD+ Should You Buy?

NAD+ is classified as a supplement, not a medication in almost every country around the world. As a result, the regulation and oversight in the production of the NAD+ is much less than you might expect from a pharmaceutical product. NAD+ companies such as Vivere, DIYNad, NAD+4U, Revion and, yes, VAION have been incorporated to meet the increasing interest and focus on biohacking and longevity but in a world of less regulatory oversight, not all have been created equal.

NAD+ needs to be in a liquid form in order to pass safely into the bloodstream and for the body to be able to use it, but, under normal conditions, NAD+ only dissolves at about 50mg/ml… have a look at any NAD+ pen on the market and the concentrations are almost always over 250mg/ml, which means that something must be aiding the NAD+ to dissolve. There are two ways to achieve this concentration… with a very slow and meticulous process under extremely specific conditions, monitored constantly, (which is how VAION do it), or in a few minutes with a solvent like mannitol or propylene glycol, which can have some nasty side effects:

  3. VAION does not sell NAD+ with a “FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY” label, which removes liability from the company selling it. If something goes wrong with one of these products, the company can point to the label and say you disregarded their directions. We want you to have the peace of mind that comes with knowing that we take responsibility for the quality of the product.
  4. We make the NAD+ in batches of only 100, so we don’t keep it sitting around for months before getting to you!
  5. Every single batch is tested by an independent 3rd party to ensure its quality meets our high standards. A few samples from each batch is then retained in the lab and one more is sent to our CEO to test personally before making available to customers. Formal Certificates of Analysis are generated for each batch.
